Capture the Castle opened in a pretty white painted weather-boarded shop near the castle end of Rochester High Street in 2004.

Philip and Anke Hatch took over in April 2008, with the aim of providing Nordic and country style home accessories and gift items with friendly service at affordable prices.

The eclectic mix of inspiring items for home and garden, is already sourced from all over the world, including Denmark, France, Germany, India and Morocco. Stock is ethically produced wherever possible, and there is complimentary gift wrapping service, free home delivery within the Medway area and mail order service available online.

An exciting new range of products is currently being designed by and made exclusively for Capture the Castle, with Philip and Anke committed to their ongoing quest for well designed and inspiring items that help make a home special.

Typical of items already on offer are hand painted polka dot design metal garden lanterns in two styles and colours; Scandinavian influenced cushions and throws, locally made "cup cake soaps" scented with lavender or rose, and Arran Aromatics range of body and skin care products made with essential oils. The shop is a veritable feast for the eyes, with displays of exquisite small items of furniture, planters, photo frames, door wreaths, farm animal blackboards and other irresistible pieces.

Capture the Castle also has its own in house "Coffee Corner", serving hot and cold beverages, home made cakes, freshly prepared sandwiches, warming soups and healthy salads during opening hours from 10.30 am until 4.40 pm daily.
