Contemporary sterling silver jewellery, featuring hand-made designs, some set with semi precious stones, highlighting the Bulgarian tradition in silver jewellery.

Argento was established in Varna, the largest city and seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast, in Northern Bulgaria, in May 1997.

The name is based on the Italian word "argento" meaning silver. In 1999 the first shop opened in Varna and it has been followed by three others. The Rochester shop in is the first Argento outlet in the UK, as well as being the first outside Bulgaria.

Argento is different from its competitors with its aim to highlight the Bulgarian tradition in silver jewellery. By summer of 2000 Argento commenced co-operation with manufacturers in Bulgaria. Currently Argento works with Bulgarian manufacturers, some emerging jewellery craftspeople, and ethno-jewellery manufacturers in the Far East and other parts of the world.

Art Argento in Rochester is managed by Tony Nitzov, Mladen Stoyanov and Dora Stoyanova, a friendly team who will spend time to help you choose the silver jewellery best suited to you as an individual. Their goal is to introduce you to unique hand-made and high quality silver jewellery, some of which is set with semi-precious stones.

For over ten years Argento has been working hard to offer its customers a wide choice of the latest on-trend styles, while continuing to produce those already recognised as design classics. As a company Argento keeps a close watch on the leading European and international trends in contemporary jewellery design.

Argento silver jewellery is original in style, and its designers continue an ongoing quest to develop new designs that will illuminate the personality of the most demanding customers. The product range is constantly refreshed, with a single aim in mind: to attract customers with a broad range, offering high quality, excellent service and competitive prices.
