Untold Stories Exhibition: A Celebration of Black People in Kent - Historic Dockyard

An exciting and interactive exhibition celebrating the Black Community of Kent over the centuries. Featuring fascinating stories such as that of professional football player Walter Tull, one of the British Army’s first Black officers to command White troops, who died during WWI aged just 29. Or Sara Forbes Bonetta, Queen Victoria’s god-daughter who lived in Gillingham’s own Palm Cottage on Canterbury Street. Free with entry to Dockyard - Suitable for all ages.
